We’re looking for motivated people to join our Board to work with us to plan for the future of the Shoreline Farmers Market. Our mission is to bring together our community: neighbors, local farmers, and producers. We seek to support food access through our market programs.  

Why should you become a Board Member? 

• Meet and collaborate with new people 
• Contribute to your local community 
• Use your skills to make a difference 

What will the Board do?  

In 2023, the Board will focus on: 

• Developing 3-year strategic plan  
• Creating a communication strategy that expands awareness in community, reaching those who are not yet engaged 
• Obtaining 501 c3 status  
• Building fundraising efforts to expand the market 
• Continuing and expanding food access and educational programs  

How will Board members participate? 

• Attend monthly board meetings 
• Engage in strategic planning & long-term solutions  
• Volunteer during at least two markets each summer to connect with customers and vendors 
• Join special project committees 
• Serve a two-year term 
• Spend a minimum of 5 hours per month/12 months a year on Market work 
• Contribute to the financial success of the market through at least one of the following: donation of time, talent, treasure 

What is the timeline?

• The Board will review applications in January 2023, with new members joining in February.
